Criminal Justice-COAS | Terrorism
P300 | 1428 | Walton
The Cold War gave rise to a world order in which terrorism has
become a major threat to world security. The World Trade Center
incident of September 11, 2001 has put this issue directly in front
of this country. This course covers the development of terrorism to
the current threat it is today. World terrorist groups and
activities will be covered as will as domestic terrorism. Efforts
being implemented to fight terrorism on a world wide scale will be
discussed and students will be questioned about the predicted
effectiveness of these efforts. Case studies will be used to cover
lessons learned.
