Examination of the philosophical underpinnings of the Anglo-American
justice system with particular attention to the role of the
judiciary in causing or obstructing social change.  Introduction to
legal reasoning and law in literature.  Study of the American
adaptations and variations on the Common Law system, including
problems of federalism, judicial review, and the major
Constitutional decision points that define our society today.
