Prerequisites:  4 courses from among Q240, Q250, Q270, Q301, Q320.
Intended for junior and senior cognitive science majors.

The seminar asks what is the nature of intelligence and where does
it come from?  We will pursue an answer by reading two books: Steven
Johnson's Emergence: The connected lives for Ants, Brains, Cities
andSoftware and Rodney Brook's Flesh and Machines: How robots will
change us. The class will consist of discussion, group projects, and
demonstrations.
