This course is a continuation of Y100/Y501 and will cover the
remaining chapters of College Yiddish, as well as other materials.

This is a four-skill language course, in which students develop
basic speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Yiddish
and an understanding of Yiddish culture.

Course requirements:
Regular attendance and active participation in class, completion of
all written and oral assignments on the due date, chapter tests, and
a comprehensive final exam. There will be short quizzes if need be.
There will be no make-up tests. In addition to the daily homework,
there will be four essays. Students are expected to write a coherent
text (approximately 100-150 words) on an assigned topic related to
the chapter topic using vocabulary and structures learned and
practiced in class.
