S332: Hispanic World II (3 credits)
Prerequisite:  S331 or equivalent.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: "Violence and Death".

	This section will explore the topic of violence and death as
seen in representative literary texts from Spain across the centuries.
Readings include short stories, novels, drama and a selection of
poetry. Class discussion will emphasize comprehension, literary
analysis as well as social and historical contexts. The class will be
conducted entirely in Spanish and daily participation is essential.
The course evaluation will be based on class participation, short
assignments, three essays and two exams.
