CLASS TIME:  April 15, 7:00-10:00pm in the IMU Hoosier Room (
Attendance at class is required to attend travel class)

TRAVEL DATED:  April 18-20

LOCATION:  Lake Monroe, Indiana

DESCRIPTION:  R100 Coastal Kayaking will introduce students to this
popular leisure activity.  Course content is based on the American Canoe
Association's 16-hour Fundamentals of Coastal Kayaking course.  R100
Coastal Kayaking is a highly experiential course where you must engage
in camp setting and maintenance, genuine reflection, and new skill
demonstration.  You will be evaluated on these dimensions, as well as
your expedition behavior.

BOOKS:  The Complete Book of Sea Kayaking, Fourth Edition, by Derek C.
Hutchinson

ASSIGNMENTS:  Readings, short presentations, and a written exam

EVALUATION:  50% new skill acquisition, 30% written exam, 20% three
papge paper

ADDITIONAL FEE: The additional fee for the class is $200.00 which
includes transportation, food, and group gear.  You will sign a bursar
slip the first day of class to pay this fee.
