Description of Course Content: This course examines the rationale and
techniques for the provision of leisure opportunities to persons who
have traditionally been excluded from recreation and leisure
services, particularly those individuals with disabilities. It
acquaints students with the legal and moral basis for inclusion,
introduces exemplary programs and activities, examines the
characteristics of people with disabilities, and identifies
guidelines and techniques for their inclusion in recreation, parks,
and tourism.
