Description of Course Content:  This course takes a sociopsychological
view of the recreational sport environment.  Issues such as serious
sport, youth sport issues, sport and violence, and roles of those
involved in the recreational sport environment.  A global look at
Sport for All programs is also included.

Required Book list: Sociology of North American Sport.  In addition a
reading packet is provided online.

Summary of Assignments:  Students will be involved in qualitative
field research involving four assignments during the course of the
semester.  Field trips to two locations.  Midterm and Final.
