Living-Learning Center | Food for Thought
L200 | 0952 | Katherine Metzo

The abundance of food available to fill American pantries,
refrigerators, and bellies is overwhelming, but how often do we think
about where our food comes from, how it is produced, marketed, and
disposed of? This course will give a sense of history about our
relationships with food and an understanding of the social, health,
and environmental ramifications of food choices. For the service
component, we will work with Hoosier Hills Food Bank and Bloomington
Parks and Recreation (Victory Gardens and Farmers Market).

This course is open to all students on the IU-Bloomington campus
