Living-Learning Center | Spring Break for Kids
L200 | 0956 | Catherine Gray

In recent years, narratives of high adventure expeditions have
attracted public attention. Several best selling accounts of these
expeditions help form an intriguing collection of adventure
literature, including Into Thin Air, Points Unknown, Where the
Pavement Ends. We will read some of this literature to answer the
question: What role does adventure have in the human spirit? Over
spring break, the service component of the course, is to give local
underprivileged children the possibility of having some adventures of
their own. This course meets for three weeks before spring break to
prepare for the spring break service project, and two weeks after
spring break. For more information contact the instructor:

the IU campus.
