Living-Learning Center | Art and Community
L210 | 0959 | Yara Cluver

This course will explore the relationship between art, community, and
service. You will gain a historical perspective on artists who have
considered community in their art making and research local places
where examples of this kind of involvement can be seen. You will
also learn the art of making and production techniques you will use
in a community project (bookmaking, photography, and computer
graphics). You will then take this practical training along with the
knowledge from the readings and research, and work with a group of
children in the local community to create a piece of community art.

This course is open to all IU students.
