Living-Learning Center | Interpreting Film Music
L210 | 0960 | Rika Asai

You have undoubtedly “seen” many movies but did you “hear” them?
Sound helps most films create strong impressions, while remaining in
the background. In this class you will consider the music in films,
listening to and analyzing the two main types of film scores:
Classical Hollywood and Pop. You will also consider the relationship
between film context and film music, using critical thinking and
interpretive skills.

This course is open to all IU students.
