K305 Statistical and Mathematical Techniques for Journalism (3 cr.)
P: One college-level mathematics course and JOUR J200. R: M118.
Intended for journalism majors. An introduction to the mathematical
and statistical methods necessary in the practice of journalism.
Working with data, measures of central tendency and dispersion.
Statistical inference and hypothesis testing. The use of spreadsheets
in statistical work. Focus on the exposition of mathematical and
statistical results. Credit given for only one of the following:
