P 215 7298 Basic Human Physiology (5 cr.) A systemic approach to the
study of human body function. The course assumes a working knowledge
of the structural components of the body and appropriate
terminology. Presentation begins with the communication systems of
the body, progressing to coordinated motion and on to defense,
transport, delivery, and balance of nutrients, water and electrolytes
that comprise essential metabolic activity and maintain homeostasis.
The laboratory emphasizes application of material presented during
the lecture portion and is a required part of this course. Four
