This course serves to introduce students to the profession of
nursing.  The following topics will be addressed:  Career path
availability, roles and responsibility, economics of nursing, and
real-world nursing.
The optional (recommended!) one-credit service learning section of
K492 will allow students to complete 15 hours of service in the
Bloomington community.  Service projects will be individually
arranged.  *This course (with or without the 1 credit of service
learning) may be counted toward the School of Nursing Social
Competence general education cluster.
