Q202 is an introductory physics course that emphasizes topics and methods
appropriate for teachers of elementary or middle school classrooms
including of light, color, balance, sound, electricity and magnetism.
There are two 50-minutes lectures each week as well as a three-hour lab
which encourages collaborative hands-on learning. Labs feature
make-and-take projects that illustrate science concepts, such as
kaleidoscopes, periscopes, optical illusions, balancing toys, and
electrical games. Q202 students will have the opportunity to participate
in service learning such as volunteering at the local Wonderlab Museum of
Science, Health, and Technology. Note that evening exams are scheduled at
times listed in the Schedule of Classes.
