SEMINAR ON FACIAL EXPRESSION PERCEPTION
COURSE NO.: P747
WHEN: SPRING, 2003
DAY: FRIDAY
TIME: 2:30--5:00 PM (probably we will actually designate 1 1/2 hours
starting at maybe something like 4pm, depending on peoples needs)
PLACE: P113
It will be a reading group where a participant presents an overview of
a paper, book, theory, etc. which is then discussed by the group,
having presumably read the paper as well. The group will participate
in selecting material to cover. We may occasionally invite insiders
or outsider to give a lecture, e.g., tutorial on some topic of
interest. Both neurophysiological and behavioral works will be
targeted. We will likely begin with an overview of the neural basis
of emotion and emotional expression. Participants from all fields
welcome, but I want to keep the group size down to a maximum of 15 to
facilitate real discussion and interaction.
