This course will focus on various ways in which people have
communicated their experiences in genocidal situations and have
attempted to explain and come to terms with genocide.  Readings will
be drawn from a wide range of genres.  We will also consider
explorations of genocide through film.  Various theories attempting
explain human participation in and construction of genocidal
relationships will form a backdrop for discussions.
