This seminar will examine the entire range of Fellini's works and will
read the most important criticism on Fellini's cinema.  In addition to
the critical literature on his movies, the seminar will also read two
literary sources for two films--the Satyricon of Petronius and
Casanova's memoirs.  Students in the course will be expected to do a
class presentation and prepare a research paper.  Some time will be
spent in the Lilly Library examining the Fellini Archives, and
students are encouraged to employ this special resources in writing
their research papers.  There will be a good many books on library
reserve plus some books ordered and available only at the Friends of
Art Bookstore in the Fine Arts Building.
