Introduction to Shakespeare

4:00p-5:15p TR (30) 3 CR.

This section is for Education majors only.

We will read 11 plays representing the range of Shakespeare's career. In this section there will be considerable emphasis on way of effectively teaching Shakespearean drama. Students will write two (2) short papers (approximately 12 page, total) and about a dozen short (1 page each) informal essays. There will also be weekly quizzes and a final examination.
