Students in F313 will improve their command of French grammar, learn to write with more sophisticated sentence structures, and expand their vocabulary through translation, readings, exercises, and class activities. They will be graded on attendance, participation, preparation, quizzes, three tests, and a final exam. Required textbooks include Harper's Grammar of French and Readings and Lessons to Accompany Harper's Grammar of French. Students should also own or have easy access to a good bilingual French-English dictionary and to a monolingual French dictionary. The course will be conducted entirely in French.
