Health, Physical Education and Recreation | Field Experience in Public Health Education
C444 | 6471 | C. Sherwood-Puzzello

The internship provides an opportunity to gain the skills and
expertise required of a health educator based on the responsibilities
and competencies established by National Commission for Health
Education Credentialing, the Society for Public Health Education, and
the Association for the Advancement of Health Education. Experiences
that students acquire in the classroom and during the internship can
provide a foundation in which they can become a competent health
educator. The student is required to work a minimum of 160 hours
with the public health agency.
