This Spring Break option is a 6-week undergraduate 2-hour course open to
all IUB undergraduates. In addition to our campus schedule, the class will
travel to Washington, D. C. during Spring Break. In the nationís capital, we
will engage in service and civic engagement activities relating to issues of
poverty. Primary partners include the Corporation for National and
Community Service (CNCS), legislative offices and community agencies
serving the poor. The class will host a public forum to present their findings
and inform public discussion on issues of poverty, share insights, and offer
recommendations. Transportation and housing will be arranged; students are
responsible for housing and food costs
