Course will be taught on Tuesday, 3:35-5:30 in Woodburn Hall Room 204
The primary aim of this course is to help students understand and
evaluate the basic political writings of Locke, Montesquieu,
Helvetius, Diderot, Rousseau, Hume, Smith, Bentham, Condorcet, and
Kant. Students may do either three short papers or a longer seminar
paper. Students who would like to see the tentative syllabus, should
consult with Professor Tilton.
