T356, TV Studio Production (3 credits) Sec. 4507 & 4508

T356 is a hands-on production course focusing on television studio
operations, and directing and producing studio television projects.
For the operations component, students will become proficient
operating the cameras, audio board, lighting equipment, video
switcher, character generator and other studio equipment. Students
will also direct individual and team projects. For the directing and
producing component, students will write short scripts, block
scenes, and direct individual and team projects.

Format: Students will attend a weekly lecture, which will be used to
review new material, assigned readings, assignments and class
projects. Students will also attend a weekly lab, composed of 12-15
students. Labs are held in the Studio 5 (RTV Room 127). In lab
students will participate in hands-on activities and carry out
production assignments.
