T365 Advanced 3D Digital Modeling and Animation (3 cr.)  P: T364 or
consent of instructor. A project-based class intended to build upon
introductory skills developed in T364. Covers a range of topics
including forward and inverse kinematics, bones with restrictions,
rig development for animation, advanced rendering, CG effects for
film and television, 3D for game content creation, and programming
for 3D. Lab fee required.

Weeks 1-2 Body Paint

Weeks 3-4 Shave

Weeks 4-8 Mocca & xEpresso programming for animation

Weeks 9-10 Rigging for animation and games

Weeks 11-Final Presentation  Weekly progress reports and trouble
shooting, Final Project


Assignments & grading

Attendance. ( 2 absences allowed ) 10%

2 in class presentation on a technical topic related to 3D modeling,
animation and/or gaming. 20%

There will be weekly small assignments and 2 larger projects. 20%

The mid term project will a conversation between two character
models created by two class members. This conversation should be no
longer than 30-45 seconds. Storyboards required before hand and
project must be presented by all team members. 25%

Final project will be a team designed scene and should be 2 minutes
or more. Minimum of 3 team members on each team. Storyboards
required before hand and project must be presented by all team
members. 25%
