Anthropology | West Africa Today
A205 | 26629 | Clark

This course introduces students to West Africa, especially
Ghana and Senegal. Through films, readings, and discussion students
explore contemporary society and culture and the historical forces that
have shaped them. The instructors will draw on their experiences of
living in West Africa in order to relate readings and films to everyday
situations and concerns. Although the course is designed for students
considering Study Abroad in Ghana or Senegal, it is also of interest to
others wishing simply to learn about West Africa.
