Course format: Lecture: 11:15A-12:30P, TR, JH 124 plus a one-hour per
week learning group.

Requirements:  IU introductory math and chemistry.

Course description: An introductory course on molecular processes in
the cell. Emphasis is at the cellular and molecular level.

Required text: Purvis, “Life”, latest edition plus CD and study guide.

Weekly assignments: Complete homework assignments; reading 10-15 pages
of text and learning group assignments.

Exams/papers: Four exams, pop quizzes, short papers and learning group
meetings.  Class and learning group attendance is required.
