recommended prior or concurrently.

Course description: Application of fundamental principles to the study
of microorganisms. Significance of microorganisms to humans and their
environment.

Published by McGraw-Hill.

Weekly assignments: Reading of ca. 150 pp. in text; it is recommended
that these be completed before the corresponding lecture.

Exams/papers: Three midterm exams, one final and graded assignments.
