COAS-E 103 23983 How Thought Depends on Language (Keller) (SLAV)
(A & H) (3 cr.)

A demonstration of how the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis embodies the proposition that foreign languages are not simply elaborate codes for English. We will see how the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis fits into daily life by highlighting the contrasts in the categories of the native language and the “foreign” language.
