N198	Introduction to Photography for Non-Majors

Course is geared towards students who use automatic and snapshot
cameras but do not require darkroom expertise. Topics covered
include basic camera operation, film choice, composition, color,
lighting, visual communication, and aesthetics. Course considers
differences between journalism, commercial and fine art photography,
and includes discussion of home video and new imaging technology. A
35 mm camera is required. Assignments completed on slide film.

Students will enroll in one lab section in addition to the lecture.
