This course aims at graduate students and upper level undergraduate
students in hydrogeology, petrology & geochemistry, biogeochemistry
and astrobiology, economic geology, and mineralogy, and will introduce
students to the theories and applications of geochemical modeling.
Students will have the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience with
popular geochemical codes such as MINTEQA2, PHREEQC, and EQ3/6. The
book "Environmental Applications of Geochemical Modeling" by Zhu and
Anderson (Cambridge University Press, 2002) will be used as the
textbook. Students are encouraged to bring projects related to their
