Above section open to all students

This course will survey major social, cultural, economic and
political developments in U.S. history since 1865. Attention will be
paid to the ways in which ordinary Americans--men and women,
workers, natives and immigrants, persons of diverse racial and
ethnic backgrounds--participated in and were affected by those
developments.
