Location: Knobstone Trail, Indiana
Description: This course is designed to intorduce students to basic
backpacking skills. R110 Backpacking is a highly experiential course
where the participant must engage in backsountry cooking, campsite
development and maintenance, Leave No Trace Principles, and new
skills demonstration.
Books: Allen and Mike's Really Cool Backpackin Book by O'Bannon and
Clelland.
Assignments: Readings and reflecitve paper
Evaluation: 30% skill demonstration, 20% expedition behavior, 30%
written examination, 20% three page paper.
Additional Fee: The additional fee for the class is $150, which
includes transportation, food, and group camping equipment.
