Class Time:  March 29, 7:00-10:00 pm in the IMU Redbud Tree Suite
(Attendance at class is required to attend travel dates)

Travel Dates:  April 1-3

Location:  Elkhorn Creek, Frankfort, KY

Description:  This course is designed to introduce the student to
basic whitewater canoeing skills.  R110 Whitewater Canoeing is a
hihgly experiential course where they must demonstrate knowledge and
skills about canoeing strategies and tactics, water safety, river
dynamics, and relevant whitewater canoeing euipment.

Books:  Canoeing:  A Trailside Guide, by Gordon Grant

Assignments:  Readings and reflective paper.

Evaluation:  30% skill demonstration, 20% expeditin behavior, 30%
written examination, 20% three page paper.

Additional Fee:  The additional fee for the class is $150, which
includes transportation, food, boating gear and group camping
equipment.
