Travel dates:  April 15-17

Location:  Elkhorn Creek, Frankfort, KY

Description:  This course is designed to introduce the student to
basic whitewater kayaking and river safety skills.  R110 Whitewater
Kayaking is a highly experiential course where the participant must
demonstrate whitewater kayaking strategies and tactics, water safety,
river dynamics, and new skill demonstration.  This course will meet
on campus to learn and practice skills before spending the weekend on
the river.

Books:  Kayak, by William Neely

Assignments:  Readings and reflecitve paper

Evaluation:  30% skill demonstration, 20% expedition behavior, 30%
written examination, 20% three page paper.

Additional Fee:  The additional fee for the class is $150, which
includes transportation, food, and group gear.
