Class Time:  January 18, 7:00-10:00p.m. in the IMU Redbud Tree Suite
(Attendance at class is required to attend travel dates)

Travel Dates:  January 21-23

Location:  Manistee National Forest, MI

Description:  This course will entail two days at Manistee National
Forest in Michigan.  The student will be able to experience and
practice snowshoeing techniques, learn winter living skills, and
discover how to stay warm in a winter envirnment.

Books:  Snow Shoeing: Fourth Edition, by Gene Prater

Assignments:  Readings and Reflective paper

Evaluation:  30% skill demonstration, 20% expedition behavior, 30%
written examination, 20% three page paper.

Additional Fee:  The additional fee for the class is $150, which
includes transportation, food, snowshoeing equipment and lodging.
