Topic: Professionalization in Informatics
This section is open to graduate students only.
Emphasis is on new developments and research in informatics.
Can be repeated twice for credit when topics vary, subject to
approval of the dean.
This course will explore some of the ethical and professionalization
issues that arise in the context of designing and using networked
information technologies and information resources. The course will
explore frameworks for making ethical decisions, the process of and
need for professionalization in informatics, and selected case
studies. No previous requirements are assumed.
