Topic: Cheating: Issues in Security and Privacy
This section is open to graduate students only.

Emphasis is on new developments and research in informatics.
Can be repeated twice for credit when topics vary, subject to
approval of the dean.

This is a class whose goal is to teach a basic understanding of
computer security by looking at how things can go wrong, and how
people can abuse the system. This is a matter of creative cheating:
to find loopholes and exploit these. First, one has to understand
how to attack the system before it is possible to propose ways to
make the system secure. This class will emphasize the first aspect
(cheating), but also touch on the second aspect (protecting against
cheating).
