Linguistics | Seminar in Applied Linguistics
T711 | 22934 | Kathleen Bardovi-Harlig
This seminar is the second course of a two-course series (T632 and
T711) that explores current research issues in second language
acquisition theory. We will continue with topics begun in T632, the
L2 acquisition of tense aspect systems and the L2 acquisition of
pragmatics, and explore new topics set by the seminar participants in
a student-negotiated syllabus that reflects areas of inquiry
undertaken by the students. Revisions of T632 papers and expanded
research plans will be due in early January, presentations and papers
dealing with original research form the basic requirements of the seminar.
Authorization for this course must be obtained by the
department/instructor.
Texts: None required.
