Collins Living-Learning Center | Video Space Everyday Space
L210 | 7651 | Dana Sperry
Students will explore in both theory and creative practice the intersections
between video space and everyday life. In the first third of the class, students
will gain an intellectual and technical foundation in video editing and video
art. In the second third, students will examine the everyday through the lens of
the camera producing a single channel video piece. In the final third, students
will make new work where video is integrated into the everyday landscape.
Throughout the course, emphasis will be placed on conceptualization,
experimentation, creative problem solving, and technical execution.
