Latin American Culture and Civilization II examines the history of
Latin America since Independence. It concentrates on the social,
political and cultural development of Latin America since the end of
the nineteenth century. In particular it focuses on the political
and social upheavals that characterized the 20th century: Mexican
Revolution, Populism, Cuban Revolution,  Military Regimes in the
Southern Cone.
