Politics is the process of decision making, the authoritative
allocation of values, and “who gets what, when, and how.” Given the
vast power inherent in the political process, controversy in common.
This course will focus on the controversy surrounding the electoral
college, gay marriage, and affirmative action.  Special emphasis will
be placed on critical thinking, fallacy free reasoning, and the role
of rationality, feelings and values in political controversies.
