P101 Introductory Psychology

This course introduces students to the study of psychology, in
particular the scientific study of psychology. We begin with a
discussion of the history of psychology, followed by a discussion of
the scientific method and research methods in psychology. We then
examine specific topic areas such as the biological foundations of
behavior, the brain and the nervous system, learning and
conditioning, sensation and perception, memory, attention,
cognition, and language. The course is primarily lecture in nature.
