The purpose of this introductory sociology course is to introduce
students to Sociological thinking (or the “sociological
imagination”) and the ways in which sociologists understand and
examine the world we live in.  We will discuss a number of general
topics of interest to sociologists such as social structure, agency,
education, class, and inequality.  This course will students learn
to think critically in applying these concepts to our social world.
