Prerequisites: Biol L311 or S311.
Course Description: Provides a rigorous exploration of the theory of
evolution. Topics include evidence demonstrating evolution;
mechanisms leading to genetic changes, including natural selection,
genetic drift, migration, and sexual selection; the interplay of
heredity and environment in shaping adaptation; the evolution of
disease; behavioral and social evolution; causes of speciation;
methods of inferring evolutionary relationships among organisms; and
the origins and history of life.
