Chemistry | Biological Chemistry
C483 | 14337 | Feig

Prerequisite: 18 hours of chemistry, including C342, or consent of
instructor.
This course provides an introduction to the structure and function
of biological macromolecules, bioenergetics, and transfer of genetic
information. Students learn to appreciate the logic of metabolic
pathways and the relationship between metabolic diseases and the
enzymes that control these pathways. Student also learn about the
complex protein and nucleic acid machines that provide exquisite
control over the replication and expression of genetic information.
