G537 Survey of Greek Literature II (4 cr.) This course surveys Greek
prose from Herodotus in the fifth century B.C. to Lucian in the
second century A.D. through extensive readings in translation
supplemented by select Greek passages and modern scholarship. It
examines the emergence and development of diverse genres within
their cultural contexts.
