The core course provides a fundamental organizing framework
for thinking about the global environment in both biophysical and
social terms. Thus, it reviews the fundamentals of what has come to
be known as Earth System Science, and Environmental Social
Science.   From this 200-level course, students will be prepared to
undertake additional course work from a variety of disciplines to
fulfill the thematic requirements
