Psychology | Introductory Psychology
P102 | 20030 | Sinex

This introductory course focuses on the social basis of behavior.
Major topics will include how people think about, influence, and
interact with one another, human development, motivation and emotion,
sexual behavior, the relationship between stress and health, theories
of personality, and psychological disorders and treatment. In
addressing these topics, the emphasis will be on scientific reasoning
in the field of psychology (separating true science from “pseudo or
pop science”). Although the class is a large lecture course,
discussion and questions are encouraged, either during class or office
hours. In addition, videos and demonstrations will complement the
lecture.
